Our consultants have provided high level specialist workplace support, assisted numerous selection processes in Departments such as the Department of the Attorney General (DOTAG), the Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC), WA Police (WAPOL), Department of Corrective Services (DCS), Department of Fisheries (DOF), Department of Transport (DOT), Public Sector Commission ( PSC), Worksafe, Department of Child Protection ( DCP), Department of Commerce and Racing, Gambling and Liquor (RGL). This means we understand what you’re talking about and what you need.
Our HR team has assisted with selection processes and recruited many roles including support staff, front line operators, investigators, coordinators and managers. We advise on specialist issues like staffing structures, job design, job classifications and general HR matters in this highly compliant based field.
Evaluation and review
Our evaluation and review team has supported Departments to gather evidence to make informed decisions about programs and strategies. We have undertaken numerous evaluations for DOTAG and DCS to review and monitor the effectiveness of implementing programs and initiatives. We have undertaken facilitation of focus group (2010) for community members involved with Aboriginal Justice Agreement; as well as working with WA Police (WAPOL) in gathering data to develop a response to the findings of the Gordon review (2011). We have also completed reviews such as the “Evaluation of Re-entry Services” (2007) for the Department of Corrective Services. We listen, tailor and deliver solutions to ensure your needs are met.
Shelby Consulting has taken an active role in many strategic initiatives and surveys on behalf of Departments including the “Tri Border Survey” (2012) as well as giving insight and support on the panel of “Women in Leadership” (2013).We also conducted a review of the Worksafe Business Model in 2013.
Our knowledge of the sector means our training can be tailored with relevant examples and scenarios. Shelby has a lengthy relationship with DOTAG to develop and improve career planning with their valuable personnel. We also currently run tailored training sessions for a number of key oversight bodies on compliance based topics.
