Review of Aboriginal Housing Directorate Functions and Structure

Description

In 2010 Shelby undertook an extensive review of the Aboriginal Housing Directorate to examine the appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency of its policies and processes in delivering the outcomes required by State and Commonwealth funding. It also looked at the appropriateness of the Directorate’s structure and resourcing for delivering its workload and stakeholder requirements. The review involved examination of key processes, systems, strategic performance requirements and indicators, positions responsibilities and included interviews and workshops with senior staff to understand past, current and future business deliverables. A comprehensive report was prepared which provided an overview of the issues and insightful recommendations addressing a range of system, process and people performance issues as well as potential opportunities to improve the overall effectiveness of the Directorate.
